Article D48-2-6 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

If the convicted person against whom a warrant of committal with deferred effect has been issued does not reside within the jurisdiction of the court that handed down the conviction, the public prosecutor may forward a copy of the warrant to the public prosecutor of the judicial court within whose jurisdiction the person resides so that the latter may summon the person and issue the order for enforcement of the warrant of committal.

Si le condamné contre lequel a été décerné un mandat de dépôt à effet différé ne réside pas dans le ressort de la juridiction ayant prononcé la condamnation, le procureur de la République peut transmettre une copie du mandat au procureur de la République du tribunal judiciaire dans le ressort duquel réside la personne afin que celui-ci procède à sa convocation et délivre l’ordre de mise à exécution du mandat de dépôt.
