When they are required, either for the execution of a letter rogatory or as part of a preliminary or flagrante delicto investigation, to carry out an investigative act likely to result in a disturbance of the peace, judicial police officers and judicial police agents acting in accordance with the provisions of Article 706-80 of the national police or national gendarmerie are required, after notice has been given to the instructing magistrate, to inform the head of the national police or national gendarmerie in charge of public security of their intervention and by any means.
The local service shall facilitate the execution of this mission to the best of its ability; in any event, it shall be imperative, and as soon as possible, that it be notified of the end of the mission.
Within the limits of the instructions given by the instructing magistrate and the legislative or regulatory provisions relating in particular to the obligations of judicial police officers, members of the gendarmerie and officials of the national police acting in the circumstances referred to in the first paragraph shall inform the national police or gendarmerie officer in charge of public security of the outcome of their intervention whenever it may have an impact on public order.
The local service shall facilitate the execution of this mission to the best of its ability; in any event, it must be informed of the end of the mission as soon as possible.
