The authorisation holder must take the necessary steps to offer appropriate treatment to elderly cancer patients at risk or losing their autonomy. This organisation makes it possible to identify frailty in these elderly patients, and to support them, if necessary, for the purposes of a geriatric assessment and geriatric follow-up within the healthcare organisation or towards the corresponding hospital or outpatient care.

Le titulaire de l’autorisation accomplit les diligences nécessaires afin de proposer un traitement adapté aux patients âgés à risque ou en perte d’autonomie atteints de cancer. Cette organisation permet de repérer la fragilité chez ces patients âgés, de les accompagner, s’il y a lieu, aux fins d’une évaluation gériatrique et d’un suivi gériatrique en son sein ou vers l’offre de soins correspondante en milieu hospitalier ou en médecine de ville.
