Article D6124-134-9 of the French Public Health Code

I.-The holder of the systemic cancer drug treatment authorisation is organised in such a way that, in order to guarantee continuity of care for the patient, the following information can be communicated:

1° To the patient and to the patient’s treating doctor, information on how to deal with the most frequent foreseeable situations relating to the patient’s treatment requiring urgent medical advice;

2° To the patient or to the doctor who is to treat the patient, in an emergency if necessary, telephone contact details for the team responsible for the patient’s care protocol.

To this end, the organisation chosen by the authorisation holder may, depending on the severity and complexity of the systemic cancer drug treatment provided for the patient, provide for the doctor in the care team mentioned in articles D. 6124-134-1, D. 6124-134-2 or D. 6124-134-3 to be on call at nights and weekends.

II – The holder of the systemic cancer drug treatment modality organises a short circuit for unscheduled hospitalisation or emergency hospitalisation as referred to in II of article R. 6123-91-11, allowing complications to be managed by involving as soon as possible the care team that has mastered the patient’s systemic cancer drug treatment protocol.

I.-Le titulaire de la modalité de traitements médicamenteux systémiques du cancer dispose d’une organisation qui permet, en vue de garantir la continuité des soins du patient, de communiquer :

1° Au patient et à son médecin traitant une information sur la conduite à tenir devant les situations prévisibles les plus fréquentes liées à son traitement nécessitant un avis médical en urgence ;

2° Au patient ou au médecin devant le traiter, le cas échéant en urgence, des coordonnées téléphoniques permettant de contacter l’équipe maîtrisant le protocole de soins du patient.

A cet effet, l’organisation retenue par le titulaire d’autorisation peut prévoir, en fonction de la lourdeur et de la complexité du traitement médicamenteux systémique du cancer réalisé pour le patient, une astreinte téléphonique du médecin de l’équipe de soins mentionnée articles D. 6124-134-1, D. 6124-134-2 ou D. 6124-134-3, les nuits et le week-end.

II.-Le titulaire de la modalité de traitements médicamenteux systémiques du cancer, organise un circuit court d’hospitalisation non programmée ou d’hospitalisation en urgence mentionnée au II de l’article R. 6123-91-11 permettant la prise en charge des complications en impliquant au plus tôt l’équipe de soins maîtrisant le protocole de traitement médicamenteux systémique du cancer du patient.
