Article D6124-140-2 of the French Public Health Code

The provisions of sub-section 9 relating to cancer treatment using external radiotherapy are applicable to the neurosurgery authorisation holders referred to in article R. 6123-100-1, with the exception of articles D. 6124-133-1 and D. 6124-133-3 and subject to the following adaptations for articles D. 6124-133-4 and D. 6124-133-5:

1° Final validation of the delineation of target volumes and organs at risk is the responsibility of a surgeon specialising in neurosurgery after obtaining the opinion of a radiotherapist from the team mentioned in article D. 6124-137;

2° The preparation of each treatment is validated by a surgeon specialising in neurosurgery and by a medical physicist after obtaining the opinion of a radiotherapist from the team mentioned in Article D. 6124-137 ;

3° The treatment of each patient may be carried out by two medical radiology technicians present at the treatment station or by a medical radiology technician and a state-qualified operating theatre nurse present at the treatment station.

Les dispositions de la sous-section 9 relative au traitement du cancer selon la modalité de radiothérapie externe sont opposables aux titulaires de l’autorisation de neurochirurgie mentionnés à l’article R. 6123-100-1, à l’exception des articles D. 6124-133-1 et D. 6124-133-3 et sous réserve des adaptations suivantes pour les articles D. 6124-133-4 et D. 6124-133-5 :

1° La validation finale de la délinéation des volumes cibles et des organes à risque relève de la responsabilité d’un chirurgien spécialisé en neurochirurgie après avis d’un médecin radiothérapeute de l’équipe mentionnée à l’article D. 6124-137 ;

2° La préparation de chaque traitement est validée par un chirurgien spécialisé en neurochirurgie et par un physicien médical après avis d’un médecin radiothérapeute de l’équipe mentionnée à l’article D. 6124-137 ;

3° Le traitement de chaque patient peut être réalisé par deux manipulateurs d’électroradiologie médicale présents au poste de traitement ou par un manipulateur d’électroradiologie médicale et un infirmier de bloc opératoire diplômé d’Etat présents au poste de traitement.
