The burns treatment facility includes at least :
1° A technical area for receiving and conditioning patients ;
2° One or more full-time hospitalisation sectors comprising :
– at least 6 beds adapted for burn patients, in individual rooms equipped with an air treatment and control system reducing the risk of airborne microbial contamination, dedicated to resuscitation of burn patients,
– At least as many beds for burn patients as there are intensive care beds, dedicated exclusively to the medical or surgical treatment of burn patients;
3° A dedicated operating theatre;
4° An outpatient consultation and care sector.
For burns treatment facilities in overseas departments, the minimum number of 6 beds dedicated to the intensive care activity mentioned above is set at 4.
