The number of medical and paramedical staff is adapted to the organ transplant activity and the follow-up of transplant patients. It includes :
1° At least two surgeons who have each completed four years of clinical training or four years as a practitioner in a unit performing transplants of the organ concerned;
2° At least two doctors, each of whom has completed four years’ clinical training or four years’ experience as a practitioner in a unit performing transplants of the organ concerned;
3° At least two doctors qualified as specialists in anaesthesia-intensive care or qualified as specialists in anaesthesiology-intensive care surgery;
4° If the activity justifies it, at least one qualified doctor specialising or competent in medical intensive care or holding a diploma of complementary specialised studies in medical intensive care;
5° Experienced nurses, at least one of whom will coordinate the patient’s care pathway;
6° A psychologist ;
7° A dietician;
8° A masseur-physiotherapist;
9° A social worker.
