The number of emergency medical staff is set so that this structure can carry out its missions.

The number of staff is adapted to the number of calls made to the SAMU, the number of trips made by the mobile emergency and resuscitation unit, known as the SMUR, or the number of patient visits to the emergency unit.

The number of medical and non-medical staff is increased during periods of particularly high activity.

L’effectif de la structure de médecine d’urgence est fixé de façon à ce que cette structure puisse assurer ses missions.

L’effectif est adapté au nombre d’appels adressés au SAMU, au nombre de sorties de la structure mobile d’urgence et de réanimation, dénommée SMUR, ou au nombre de passages de patients dans la structure des urgences.

L’effectif du personnel médical et non médical est renforcé pendant les périodes où une activité particulièrement soutenue est régulièrement observée.
