Article D6124-26-6 of the French Public Health Code

When an analysis of the activity of an emergency facility reveals a large number of patients requiring psychiatric care, the facility must have a psychiatrist on duty at all times.

If this psychiatrist is not a member of the emergency department team, he or she will work within the framework of the agreement provided for in article D. 6124-26-8.

In the case other than that provided for in the first paragraph, a psychiatrist may be contacted and intervene, if necessary, as soon as possible, within the framework of the agreement provided for in article D. 6124-26-8.

Article D6124-26-6
