Article D6124-28-5 of the French Public Health Code

The non-medical team of an intensive care unit, polyvalent or speciality, of mention 1° or 2° mentioned in article R. 6124-34-1 includes at least :

1° One nurse for every four open beds ;

2° During the day, one auxiliary nurse for every four open beds and, at night, one auxiliary nurse for every eight open beds;

3° A physiotherapist with proven experience in critical care;

4° Where necessary, a psychologist, a dietician, an occupational therapist and staff with biomedical skills.

The staff mentioned in 1° and 2° are placed under the responsibility of a health executive.

L’équipe non médicale d’une unité de soins intensifs, polyvalente ou de spécialité, de mention 1° ou 2° mentionnées à l’article R. 6124-34-1 comprend au moins :

1° Un infirmier pour quatre lits ouverts ;

2° De jour, un aide-soignant pour quatre lits ouverts et, de nuit, un aide-soignant pour huit lits ouverts ;

3° Un masseur-kinésithérapeute justifiant d’une expérience attestée en soins critiques ;

4° En tant que de besoin un psychologue, un diététicien, un ergothérapeute et du personnel à compétence biomédicale.

Les personnels mentionnés aux 1° et 2° sont placés sous la responsabilité d’un cadre de santé.
