Neonates requiring neonatal intensive care may be hospitalised in undifferentiated paediatric and neonatal intensive care units, provided that the beds for these neonates form an individual sector within the multi-purpose unit. These units also meet the conditions set out in articles R. 6123-43 to R. 6123-45 and article R. 6123-49, as well as the other conditions set out in articles D. 6124-58 and D. 6124-61.
The health care organisation collects activity data separately for new-born babies and for older children.
