The poison control centre has sufficient premises and equipment to carry out its tasks around the clock.
In particular, it has :
1° Means for receiving telephone calls, including lines accessible to the public and specific lines reserved exclusively for liaison with the authorities, with the agency’s call reception and regulation centre and with the university hospital centre’s anti-poison centre referred to in article D. 6431-62;
2° Means of recording calls and responses, with recorded documents kept for three months;
3° Means for rapid transmission of information by fax or modem;
4° specialised and up-to-date documentation on the treatment of intoxications;
5° IT resources, defined by order of the Minister for Health, to assist in responding to emergencies and to record data relating to cases of intoxication and any data likely to contribute to toxicovigilance.
