Article D6431-66 of the French Public Health Code

The healthcare agency organises the fight against nosocomial infections, including the prevention of bacterial resistance to antibiotics. To this end, it sets up a nosocomial infection control committee and defines an annual programme of actions designed to ensure :

1° Preventing nosocomial infections, in particular by drawing up and implementing recommendations for good hygiene practice;

2° Monitoring nosocomial infections;

3° Defining information and training initiatives for all the Agency’s professionals in the field of hospital hygiene and the fight against nosocomial infections;

4° Periodic evaluation of actions to combat nosocomial infections, the results of which are used to draw up subsequent action programmes.

L’agence de santé organise, en son sein, la lutte contre les infections nosocomiales, y compris la prévention de la résistance bactérienne aux antibiotiques. A cet effet, elle institue en son sein un comité de lutte contre les infections nosocomiales et définit un programme annuel d’actions tendant à assurer :

1° La prévention des infections nosocomiales, notamment par l’élaboration et la mise en oeuvre de recommandations de bonnes pratiques d’hygiène ;

2° La surveillance des infections nosocomiales ;

3° La définition d’actions d’information et de formation de l’ensemble des professionnels de l’agence en matière d’hygiène hospitalière et de lutte contre les infections nosocomiales ;

4° L’évaluation périodique des actions de lutte contre les infections nosocomiales, dont les résultats sont utilisés pour l’élaboration des programmes ultérieurs d’actions.
