Article D8121-9-1 of the French Labour Code

The members of the National Labour Inspection Council carry out their duties in compliance with the requirements of independence, impartiality and integrity. They are bound by the secrecy of the body’s debates and may not intervene in any other capacity during the investigation of a case referred to the Council pursuant to Article D. 8121-2.

All members of the Council shall refrain from taking part in the debates and work relating to a request concerning a matter in which they are involved or which implicates them.

Les membres du Conseil national de l’inspection du travail exercent leur mission dans le respect des exigences d’indépendance, d’impartialité et d’intégrité. Ils sont soumis au secret des débats de l’instance et ne peuvent intervenir à d’autres titres pendant l’instruction d’une affaire dont le conseil a été saisi en application de l’article D. 8121-2.

Tout membre du conseil s’abstient de participer aux débats et travaux se rapportant à une demande portant sur une affaire dans laquelle il est partie prenante ou qui le met en cause.
