Article L1121-12 of the French Public Health Code

For each piece of research mentioned in 1° or 2° of Article L. 1121-1, the dossier submitted to the Committee for the Protection of Individuals and, where applicable, to the competent authority, shall determine whether it is necessary for the person not to be able to participate simultaneously in another piece of research and, where applicable, shall set a period of exclusion during which the person taking part in the research may not participate in another piece of research. The length of this period varies according to the nature of the research.

Article L1121-12

Pour chaque recherche mentionnée aux 1° ou 2° de l’article L. 1121-1, le dossier soumis au comité de protection des personnes et, le cas échéant, à l’autorité compétente détermine s’il est nécessaire que la personne ne puisse pas participer simultanément à une autre recherche et fixe, le cas échéant, une période d’exclusion au cours de laquelle la personne qui s’y prête ne peut participer à une autre recherche. La durée de cette période varie en fonction de la nature de la recherche.
