Clinical investigations in the field of dentistry may only be carried out under the direction and supervision of a dental surgeon or a doctor with appropriate experience.
Clinical investigations in the field of midwifery may only be carried out under the direction and supervision of a doctor or a midwife.
Clinical investigations involving only minimal risks and constraints in the field of nursing may only be carried out under the direction and supervision of a nurse or doctor.
Clinical investigations involving only minimal risks and constraints and which have no influence on the medical care of the person undergoing them, as well as clinical investigations involving no risks or constraints, may be carried out under the direction and supervision of a qualified person. The Data Protection Committee ensures that the qualifications of the investigator(s) match the characteristics of the clinical investigation.
The persons responsible for the quality control of a clinical investigation and duly authorised for this purpose by the sponsor have access, subject to the absence of opposition from the duly informed data subjects, to the individual data strictly necessary for this control. They are subject to professional secrecy under the conditions defined by articles 226-13 and 226-14 of the French Penal Code.
