Subject to the provisions of the last paragraph of Article L. 1131-2-1, only practitioners approved for this purpose by the Biomedicine Agency referred to in Article L. 1418-1 under conditions laid down by regulation may carry out examinations of a person’s genetic characteristics or their identification by genetic fingerprinting for medical purposes.
Persons who carry out examinations of a person’s genetic characteristics or identification by genetic fingerprinting for scientific research purposes are approved under conditions laid down by regulation.
