Article L123-51 of the French Commercial code

The national register of companies is set up in digital format. It contains the digital files of registered companies and, within each file, all the information and documents that have been the subject of a registration or filing, as well as the dates of these events.

Supporting documents transmitted in digital form in support of declarations and filings are retained by the registrar.

La constitution du registre national des entreprises est réalisée sous format numérique. Y figurent les dossiers numériques des entreprises immatriculées et, au sein de chaque dossier, l’ensemble des informations et pièces ayant fait l’objet d’une inscription ou d’un dépôt, ainsi que les dates de ces évènements.

Les pièces justificatives transmises sous forme numérique à l’appui des déclarations et des dépôts sont conservées par le teneur du registre.
