Article L131-20 of the French Commercial code

In addition to their role as sworn goods brokers, brokers may carry out their usual activities, such as commission, brokerage, commercial agency and consignment of goods, either on a personal basis or through a company. When carrying out these activities, they must clearly indicate that they are not acting as a sworn broker.

En dehors de sa fonction de courtier de marchandises assermenté, celui-ci peut exercer soit à titre personnel, soit dans le cadre d’une société sa profession habituelle, notamment la commission, le courtage, l’agence commerciale et la consignation de marchandises. Dans l’exercice de ces activités, il doit clairement faire apparaître qu’il n’agit pas en qualité de courtier assermenté.
