A sworn broker may be struck off the list drawn up by the Court of Appeal either following a voluntary resignation or by disciplinary action.
His registration lapses if he ceases to carry on the personal business of brokering the goods covered by the professional speciality for which he is registered or if, specialising in a branch of activity for which the requirement to renew the technological examination has been recognised as necessary, he has not passed this new examination by the end of the set period.
He may, for important reasons assessed by the court of appeal after consulting the public prosecutor, request that he be placed on temporary leave. This is noted on the list if the leave is for a period of six months or more.
