The publisher is obliged to render an account.
The author may, in the absence of special terms provided for in the contract, require at least once a year the production by the publisher of a statement mentioning the number of copies manufactured during the financial year and specifying the date and size of print runs and the number of copies in stock.
Unless otherwise customary or agreed, this statement will also mention the number of copies sold by the publisher, the number of copies unusable or destroyed by fortuitous event or force majeure, and the amount of royalties due or paid to the author.
