Article L132-14 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The publisher is obliged to provide the author with all justifications likely to establish the accuracy of his accounts.

If the publisher fails to provide the necessary justifications, he will be obliged to do so by the judge.

L’éditeur est tenu de fournir à l’auteur toutes justifications propres à établir l’exactitude de ses comptes.

Faute par l’éditeur de fournir les justifications nécessaires, il y sera contraint par le juge.
