Data on the quality of water intended for human consumption, in particular the results of analyses carried out as part of health checks and at private homes, are sent by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency to the State representative in the département. They are public and may be communicated to third parties.
The representative of the State in the department is required to regularly communicate to the mayors the data relating to the quality of the water distributed, in simple terms that can be understood by all users.
The data relating to the quality of the water supplied is posted in the town hall and any other appropriate publicity measures are taken in accordance with the conditions laid down by decree. It is also made available to the public under conditions set by regulation.
Any holder, whether public or private, of data relating to the quality of water communicates them to the Director General of the Regional Health Agency, within the time limits defined by order of the Minister for Health, so that he can transmit them to the European Commission.
