Article L133-31 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

As an exception to article L. 133-30, when the parties are bound by a contract that expressly provides for a term, they may agree to reimburse expenses only in the following cases:

1° The request for redemption is made before the end of the contract ;

2° The electronic money holder terminates the contract before its term;

3° The electronic money holder requests redemption more than one year and one day after the end of the contract.

Article L133-31

Par exception à l’article L. 133-30, lorsque les parties sont liées par un contrat prévoyant expressément un terme, elles peuvent convenir de frais consécutifs à un remboursement exclusivement dans les cas suivants :

1° La demande de remboursement est antérieure au terme du contrat ;

2° Le détenteur de monnaie électronique résilie le contrat avant son terme ;

3° Le détenteur de monnaie électronique demande le remboursement plus d’un an et un jour après le terme du contrat.
