For the sale of all or part of a residential property not connected to the public wastewater collection network, the document drawn up following the inspection of non-collective sanitation facilities carried out under the conditions provided for in II of article L. 1331-1-1 of this code and dated less than three years before the signing of the deed of sale is attached to the technical diagnostic file provided for in articles L. 271-4 and L. 271-5 of the French Construction and Housing Code.
In areas where wastewater and rainwater discharges have an impact on water quality for the Olympic freestyle swimming and triathlon events in the Seine, when selling all or part of a residential property, the document drawn up following the inspection of the connection to the public wastewater collection network mentioned in II of article L. 2224-8 of the General Local Authorities Code is attached to the technical diagnostic file provided for in articles L. 271-4 and L. 271-5 of the Construction and Housing Code.
No later than one month after the signing of the deed of sale of all or part of a building, the notary drafting the deed shall send, for information purposes only, by any means, including electronically, to the competent authority for sanitation issuing the document mentioned in 8° of I of article L. 271-4 of the same code, a certificate containing the date of the sale, the information required to identify the property sold and the name and address of the purchaser of this property.
If the inspection of non-collective sanitation facilities carried out under the conditions stipulated in II of article L. 1331-1-1 of this code is more than three years old or non-existent, the seller is responsible for carrying it out.
