The person responsible for a swimming pool or artificial bathing area is required to monitor the quality of the water and inform the public of the results of this monitoring, to undergo health checks, to comply with the rules and quality limits laid down by decree, and to use only effective water treatment, cleaning and disinfection products and processes which do not constitute a health hazard for bathers and staff responsible for the maintenance and operation of the swimming pool or artificial bathing area.
The procedures for applying this chapter are determined by decree:
1° Relating to the different types of swimming pool, in particular the health, design and hygiene rules that apply to them as well as the procedures for implementing the health inspection organised by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency and the conditions under which the person responsible for a swimming pool monitors the quality of the water, informs the public and makes the information required for this inspection available to the health inspection officers;
2° Relating to artificial bathing areas, in particular the health, design and hygiene rules that they must comply with.
