I.-Infringements of the regulations adopted in application of articles L. 1338-1 and L. 1338-2 are investigated and recorded by officers and agents of the judicial police in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure and by the agents mentioned in articles L. 1421-1 and L. 1435-7, State agents approved and commissioned by the Minister for Agriculture, the agents mentioned inarticle L. 172-1 of the Environmental Code and the environmental inspectors of local authorities authorised and sworn in under conditions laid down by decree in the Council of State. The reports drawn up by these officers and agents are authentic until proven otherwise. With the exception of environmental inspectors who act under the conditions defined in articles L. 172-1 to L. 172-17 of the Environmental Code, these agents have the powers defined in Book II of the Consumer Code.
II – The agents mentioned in article L. 511-3 and in 1° and 2° of I of article L. 511-22 of the Consumer Code are authorised to investigate and record breaches of the regulations adopted in application of articles L. 1338-2 and L. 1338-3, under the conditions set out in I of article L. 511-22 of the same code.
III – The agents mentioned in 1° to 6° and in the last paragraph of I of article L. 205-1 of the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code are authorised to investigate and record breaches of the regulations adopted in application of this chapter. To this end, they have the powers provided for in I of article L. 511-22 of the Consumer Code.
