Article L141-1 of the French Sports Code

Sports associations and the sports societies they have set up, sports federations and their members are represented by the French National Olympic and Sports Committee.

The statutes of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee are approved by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.

For the purposes of their approval, the statutes of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee shall include provisions designed to ensure a balanced representation of women and men and to promote parity within all of its bodies. Its Bureau is made up of equal numbers of men and women.

Les associations sportives et les sociétés sportives qu’elles ont constituées, les fédérations sportives et leurs licenciés sont représentés par le Comité national olympique et sportif français.

Les statuts du Comité national olympique et sportif français sont approuvés par décret en Conseil d’Etat.

Aux fins de leur approbation, les statuts du Comité national olympique et sportif français comportent des dispositions visant à assurer une représentation équilibrée des femmes et des hommes et à favoriser la parité au sein de l’ensemble de ses organes. Son bureau est composé à parité de femmes et d’hommes.
