Article L1411-4 of the French Labour Code

The Industrial Tribunal shall have sole jurisdiction, irrespective of the amount of the claim, to hear the disputes referred to in this chapter. Any agreement to the contrary is deemed unwritten.

The industrial tribunal does not have jurisdiction to hear disputes assigned to another court by law, in particular by the Social Security Code in matters relating to accidents at work and occupational illnesses.

Le conseil de prud’hommes est seul compétent, quel que soit le montant de la demande, pour connaître des différends mentionnés au présent chapitre. Toute convention contraire est réputée non écrite.

Le conseil de prud’hommes n’est pas compétent pour connaître des litiges attribués à une autre juridiction par la loi, notamment par le code de la sécurité sociale en matière d’accidents du travail et maladies professionnelles.
