Article L1424-2 of the French Public Health Code

The region may voluntarily contribute to the financing of the investment programme of public, private and community health establishments and, as a priority, that of regional, inter-regional or national establishments.

The operations financed as part of the investment programme comply with the objectives of the regional or inter-regional health plan.

The operations mentioned in the second paragraph may nevertheless be carried out if the region decides not to contribute to their financing.

La région peut concourir volontairement au financement du programme d’investissement des établissements de santé publics, privés d’intérêt collectif et privés et par priorité de celui des établissements de ressort régional, interrégional ou national.

Les opérations financées dans le cadre du programme d’investissement respectent les objectifs du schéma régional ou interrégional de santé.

Les opérations mentionnées au deuxième alinéa peuvent néanmoins être réalisées en cas de décision de la région de ne pas concourir à leur financement.
