Article L1523-7 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Local authorities and their groupings may grant semi-public companies subsidies or advances intended for programmes of general interest linked to the economic promotion of the territory or the management of common services for companies.

An agreement sets out the obligations contracted by the semi-public companies in return for this aid.

The financial aid referred to in this article is not governed by the provisions of Title I of this book.

Les collectivités territoriales et leurs groupements peuvent accorder aux sociétés d’économie mixte des subventions ou des avances destinées à des programmes d’intérêt général liés à la promotion économique du territoire ou à la gestion de services communs aux entreprises.

Une convention fixe les obligations contractées par les sociétés d’économie mixte en contrepartie de ces aides.

Les concours financiers visés au présent article ne sont pas régis par les dispositions du titre Ier du présent livre.
