Article L160-18 of the French Insurance Code

When a company referred to in article L. 160-10 or a société civile de placement immobilier (non-trading real estate investment company) adopts the system for variable-capital real estate investment companies (sociétés de placement à prépondérance immobilière à capital variable) under the conditions defined in this section, this transaction does not entail any direct or indirect costs for subscribers to life insurance and capitalisation contracts, one unit of account of which is made up of units in such a company.

Lorsqu’une société mentionnée à l’article L. 160-10 ou une société civile de placement immobilier adopte le régime des sociétés de placement à prépondérance immobilière à capital variable dans les conditions définies à la présente section, cette opération n’entraîne aucun frais direct ou indirect pour les souscripteurs ou adhérents de contrats d’assurance vie et de capitalisation dont une unité de compte est constituée de parts d’une telle société.
