Article L173-2 of the French Insurance Code

In the case of voyage insurance, cover runs from the start of loading until the end of unloading and no later than fifteen days after the ship’s arrival at its destination.

In the case of a voyage in ballast, cover runs from the moment the vessel starts up until it is moored on arrival.

Dans l’assurance au voyage, la garantie court depuis le début du chargement jusqu’à la fin du déchargement et au plus tard quinze jours après l’arrivée du navire à destination.

En cas de voyage sur lest, la garantie court depuis le moment où le navire démarre jusqu’à l’amarrage du navire à son arrivée.
