If the same risk has been covered by several insurers under the same insurance contract, each shall be liable, without solidarity with the others, only to the extent of the sum insured by it, which constitutes the limit of its liability.

Si un même risque a été couvert par plusieurs assureurs, au titre d’un même contrat d’assurance, chacun n’est tenu, sans solidarité avec les autres, que dans la proportion de la somme par lui assurée, laquelle constitue la limite de son engagement.
