In property insurance, cumulative insurances taken out without fraud for a total sum exceeding the value of the insured item are valid only if the insured brings them to the attention of the insurer from whom he requests settlement.
Each of them produces its effects within the limits of the guarantees of the contract and up to the full value of the insured item.
In liability insurance, when the cumulative insurances are contracted without fraud, each of them produces its effects in proportion to and within the limits of the guarantees of the contract.
