Article L200-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

For the purposes of this Book, and under the conditions it lays down, nationals of States which are not members of the European Union and which are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as well as nationals of the Swiss Confederation, are treated in the same way as citizens of the European Union.
Other than nationals of the Swiss Confederation, the nationals referred to in the first paragraph are those of the Republic of Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Kingdom of Norway.

Pour l’application du présent livre, et dans les conditions qu’il prévoit, les ressortissants des Etats, non membres de l’Union européenne, parties à l’accord sur l’Espace économique européen, ainsi que les ressortissants de la Confédération suisse, sont assimilés aux citoyens de l’Union européenne.
Outre les ressortissants de la Confédération suisse, les ressortissants mentionnés au premier alinéa sont ceux de la République d’Islande, de la Principauté du Liechtenstein et du Royaume de Norvège.
