When the examinations instituted by articles L. 2122-1, second paragraph, L. 2122-3 and L. 2132-2, second paragraph, are carried out by the health professionals of the departmental maternal and child protection service and concern insured persons or their dependants, the related costs are reimbursed to the department by the health insurance bodies to which the persons concerned belong, in accordance with the pricing system provided for in article L. 162-32 of the Social Security Code.
The health insurance bodies may also, by agreement, contribute from their health and social action funds to other medico-social prevention actions carried out by the département.
In the départements where, on the date of entry into force of law no. 89-899 of 18 December 1989 relating to the protection and promotion of health, the family and childhood and adapting health and social legislation to the transfer of responsibility for social assistance and health, an agreement sets out the conditions for the participation of health insurance bodies in the operation of the departmental maternal and child protection service, this agreement remains in force, unless terminated in accordance with the conditions set out in the said agreement. In the event of termination, the provisions of the first paragraph and possibly the second paragraph of this article shall apply.
