Article L2121-13-1 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The commune ensures the dissemination of information to its elected members by the material means it deems most appropriate.

In order to enable the exchange of information on matters falling within its remit, the commune may, under the conditions defined by its deliberative assembly, make available to its elected members, on an individual basis, the necessary computer and telecommunications resources.

These provisions are applicable to public establishments for inter-communal cooperation.

La commune assure la diffusion de l’information auprès de ses membres élus par les moyens matériels qu’elle juge les plus appropriés.

Afin de permettre l’échange d’informations sur les affaires relevant de ses compétences, la commune peut, dans les conditions définies par son assemblée délibérante, mettre à disposition de ses membres élus, à titre individuel, les moyens informatiques et de télécommunications nécessaires.

Ces dispositions sont applicables aux établissements publics de coopération intercommunale.
