Article L2123-29 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The contributions of communes and those of their elected representatives resulting from the application of articles L. 2123-27 and L. 2123-28 are calculated on the amount of compensation actually received by the latter pursuant to the provisions of this code or any other provision governing the compensation of their functions.

The contributions of elected representatives are personal and compulsory.

Les cotisations des communes et celles de leurs élus résultant de l’application des articles L. 2123-27 et L. 2123-28 sont calculées sur le montant des indemnités effectivement perçues par ces derniers en application des dispositions du présent code ou de toute autre disposition régissant l’indemnisation de leurs fonctions.

Les cotisations des élus ont un caractère personnel et obligatoire.
