The persons exercising parental authority or those to whom a child has been entrusted shall be informed, in compliance with ethical rules, when a disability has been suspected, detected or reported in the child, in particular during the medical examinations provided for in article L. 2132-2, of the nature of the disability and of the possibility for the child to be admitted to specialised centres, in particular early medical-social action centres, with a view to preventing or reducing the worsening of this disability.
In early medical and social action centres, care is provided in the form of outpatient treatment involving a multidisciplinary team. It includes counselling and support for the family or persons to whom the child has been entrusted. It is provided, where appropriate, in conjunction with pre-school education institutions and the establishments and services mentioned in article L. 2324-1.
Funding for these centres is provided under the conditions defined in article L. 2112-8.
