Article L2135-6 of the French Labour Code

Professional trade unions of employers, their unions and employers’ associations mentioned in Article L. 2135-1 that wish to establish their representativeness on the basis of Title V of this Book I are required to appoint at least one statutory auditor and, when the conditions defined in the second paragraph of I of Article L. 823-1 are met, a substitute.

The obligation set out in the first paragraph of this article applies to professional employee trade unions, their unions and employee associations mentioned in the same article L. 2135-1 and to professional trade unions, their unions and employers’ associations other than those mentioned in the first paragraph of this article whose resources exceed a threshold set by decree.

Les syndicats professionnels d’employeurs, leurs unions et les associations d’employeurs mentionnés à l’article L. 2135-1 qui souhaitent établir leur représentativité sur le fondement du titre V du présent livre Ier sont tenus de nommer au moins un commissaire aux comptes et, lorsque les conditions définies au deuxième alinéa du I de l’article L. 823-1 sont réunies, un suppléant.

L’obligation prévue au premier alinéa du présent article est applicable aux syndicats professionnels de salariés, à leurs unions, aux associations de salariés mentionnés au même article L. 2135-1 et aux syndicats professionnels, à leurs unions et aux associations d’employeurs autres que ceux mentionnés au premier alinéa du présent article dont les ressources dépassent un seuil fixé par décret.
