Article L220-7 of the French Insurance Code

Any insurance contract covering the civil liability of the operator of one of the means of transport mentioned in article L. 220-1 is, notwithstanding any clause to the contrary, deemed to include guarantees at least equivalent to those set out in the Conseil d’Etat decree mentioned in article L. 220-6.

Tout contrat d’assurance couvrant la responsabilité civile de l’exploitant d’un des moyens de transport mentionnés à l’article L. 220-1 est, nonobstant toute clause contraire, réputé comporter des garanties au moins équivalentes à celles fixées dans le décret en Conseil d’Etat mentionné à l’article L. 220-6.
