Article L222-16 of the French Sports Code

A national of a State that is not a member of the European Union or party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and who does not hold a sports agent’s licence referred to in article L. 222-7 must enter into an agreement with a sports agent for the purpose of introducing an interested party to the conclusion of a contract referred to in the same article L. 222-7.

The introductory agreement referred to in the first paragraph of this article must be sent to the relevant delegating federation.

A sports agent established in one of the States or territories considered as non-cooperative within the meaning ofArticle 238-0 A of the General Tax Code may not carry out the activity of sports agent on French territory.

Any presentation agreement concluded with such an agent is null and void.

Article L222-16

Le ressortissant d’un Etat qui n’est pas membre de l’Union européenne ou partie à l’accord sur l’Espace économique européen et qui n’est pas titulaire d’une licence d’agent sportif mentionnée à l’article L. 222-7 doit passer une convention avec un agent sportif ayant pour objet la présentation d’une partie intéressée à la conclusion d’un contrat mentionné au même article L. 222-7.

La convention de présentation mentionnée au premier alinéa du présent article doit être transmise à la fédération délégataire compétente.

Un agent sportif établi dans un des Etats ou territoires considérés comme non coopératifs au sens de l’article 238-0 A du code général des impôts ne peut exercer l’activité d’agent sportif sur le territoire national.

Toute convention de présentation conclue avec un tel agent est nulle.
