Article L222-9 of the French Sports Code

No person may obtain or hold a sports agent’s licence :

1° If he exercises, directly or indirectly, in law or in fact, on a voluntary or remunerated basis, sports management or training functions either in an association or company employing sportsmen and sportswomen for remuneration or organising sports events, or in a sports federation or a body that it has set up, or if he has been required to exercise one of these functions during the previous year;

2° If, during the past year, he is or was a shareholder or partner in a company employing sportsmen and women for remuneration or organising sporting events;

3° If he has been the subject of a disciplinary sanction at least equivalent to a suspension by the relevant delegating federation for failure to comply with the rules of ethics, morality and sporting deontology;

4° If he is an employee of an association or company employing sportsmen and women for remuneration or organising sporting events;

5° If they are an official of a sports federation or a body that it has set up.

Article L222-9

Nul ne peut obtenir ou détenir une licence d’agent sportif :

1° S’il exerce, directement ou indirectement, en droit ou en fait, à titre bénévole ou rémunéré, des fonctions de direction ou d’entraînement sportif soit dans une association ou une société employant des sportifs contre rémunération ou organisant des manifestations sportives, soit dans une fédération sportive ou un organe qu’elle a constitué, ou s’il a été amené à exercer l’une de ces fonctions dans l’année écoulée ;

2° S’il est ou a été durant l’année écoulée actionnaire ou associé d’une société employant des sportifs contre rémunération ou organisant des manifestations sportives ;

3° S’il a fait l’objet d’une sanction disciplinaire au moins équivalente à une suspension par la fédération délégataire compétente à raison d’un manquement au respect des règles d’éthique, de moralité et de déontologie sportives ;

4° S’il est préposé d’une association ou d’une société employant des sportifs contre rémunération ou organisant des manifestations sportives ;

5° S’il est préposé d’une fédération sportive ou d’un organe qu’elle a constitué.
