Article L2312-13 of the French Labour Code

The Social and Economic Committee carries out regular inspections of health, safety and working conditions. It conducts investigations into accidents at work and occupational or work-related illnesses. The committee may ask to hear the manager of a neighbouring company whose activities expose workers within its remit to particular nuisances. It is informed of the action taken on its observations.

The committee may call on the assistance of any person in the company who it deems qualified, on an occasional advisory basis.

Le comité social et économique procède, à intervalles réguliers, à des inspections en matière de santé, de sécurité et des conditions de travail. Il réalise des enquêtes en matière d’accidents du travail ou de maladies professionnelles ou à caractère professionnel. Le comité peut demander à entendre le chef d’une entreprise voisine dont l’activité expose les travailleurs de son ressort à des nuisances particulières. Il est informé des suites réservées à ses observations.

Le comité peut faire appel à titre consultatif et occasionnel au concours de toute personne de l’entreprise qui lui paraîtrait qualifiée.
