Article L232-15-1 of the French Sports Code

Any athlete designated by the French Anti-Doping Agency to be part of the Registered Testing Pool mentioned in article L. 232-15 or by an International Federation to be part of a Registered Testing Pool created by the latter, who ceases to belong to this pool due to the decision taken by the person concerned to definitively abandon competition, must inform the Agency and his International Federation, in writing, of his intention to resume a sporting activity which would lead him to once again fall within the scope of 1° to 5° of article L. 232-15.

During the six months following the transmission of the information to the Agency, the athlete is not authorised to take part in national or international events, unless he can justify an exemption granted by the World Anti-Doping Agency, after consultation with the relevant International Federation and the Agency, where the strict application of this rule would be unfair to him.

Article L232-15-1

Le sportif désigné par l’Agence française de lutte contre le dopage pour faire partie du groupe cible mentionné à l’article L. 232-15 ou par une fédération internationale pour faire partie d’un groupe cible créé par celle-ci, qui cesse d’appartenir à ce groupe en raison de la décision prise par l’intéressé d’abandonner définitivement la compétition, doit informer l’agence et sa fédération internationale, par écrit, de son intention de reprendre une activité sportive le conduisant à entrer à nouveau dans le champ d’application des 1° à 5° de l’article L. 232-15.

Durant les six mois qui suivent la transmission de l’information à l’agence, le sportif n’est pas autorisé à participer à des manifestations nationales ou internationales, sauf s’il justifie d’une exemption accordée par l’Agence mondiale antidopage, après consultation de la fédération internationale compétente et de l’agence, lorsque l’application stricte de cette règle serait inéquitable envers lui.
