Article L2333-6 of the French Labour Code

When an employee representative on the Group Works Council ceases to perform his duties, his replacement, for the remainder of his term of office, is appointed by the trade union organisations in the case provided for in Article L. 2333-2 or by the administrative authority in the case provided for in the third paragraph of Article L. 2333-4.

Lorsqu’un représentant du personnel au sein du comité de groupe cesse ses fonctions, son remplaçant, pour la durée du mandat restant à courir, est désigné par les organisations syndicales dans le cas prévu à l’article L. 2333-2 ou par l’autorité administrative dans celui fixé au troisième alinéa de l’article L. 2333-4.
