Article L243-8 of the French Insurance Code

Any insurance contract taken out by a person subject to compulsory insurance under this Title shall, notwithstanding any clause to the contrary, be deemed to include cover at least equivalent to that set out in the standard clauses provided for in Article L. 310-7 of this Code.

Tout contrat d’assurance souscrit par une personne assujettie à l’obligation d’assurance en vertu du présent titre est, nonobstant toute clause contraire, réputé comporter des garanties au moins équivalentes à celles figurant dans les clauses types prévues par l’article L. 310-7 du présent code.
