Associations take part in municipal life.
In each arrondissement a borough initiative and consultation committee is created. This committee brings together representatives of local associations or members of national federations or confederations who so request and who carry out their activities in the arrondissement.
During at least one meeting per quarter, the representatives of these associations participate, if they so request, in the debates of the arrondissement council, in an advisory capacity. At these meetings, they present any issues relating to their area of activity in the arrondissement and may make any proposals in this regard.
The arrondissement council deliberates in their presence.
To this end, the associations must notify the borough mayor in advance of the subject or subjects on which they wish to debate.
The timetable for debates with the aforementioned associations is defined by the borough council in liaison with the borough initiative and consultation committee. The Borough Council will provide the Comité d’initiative et de consultation d’arrondissement with any information required to prepare for these debates.
