Article L2511-40 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The city council or the Paris council shall each year, pursuant to the provisions of articles L. 2511-36-1, L. 2511-39 and L. 2511-39-1 the procedures for distributing the sums intended for the allocations to the arrondissements and deliberates on the total amount of appropriations it proposes to include for this purpose in the budget of the commune or the City of Paris for the following financial year.

The amount of allocations that it is proposed to allocate on this basis to each arrondissement is notified, before 1 November, to the arrondissement mayor by the mayor of the commune or by the mayor of Paris.

Article L2511-40

Le conseil municipal ou le conseil de Paris arrête chaque année, en application des dispositions des articles L. 2511-36-1, L. 2511-39 et L. 2511-39-1 les modalités de répartition des sommes destinées aux dotations des arrondissements et délibère sur le montant total des crédits qu’il se propose d’inscrire à ce titre au budget de la commune ou de la Ville de Paris pour l’exercice suivant.

Le montant des dotations qu’il est envisagé d’attribuer sur cette base à chaque arrondissement est notifié, avant le 1er novembre, au maire d’arrondissement par le maire de la commune ou par le maire de Paris.
